You want me to bake with WHAT?

I'm at the tail-end of my Body Beast which means I am in the Beast Phase and cutting down on carbs.  No problem, right?  Well.......the problem is I LOVE carbs!!!  I love sweets.  Like, I love them so much that I would rather have sweets than a meal!

Anybody else out there like that?   Ugh!  And with the weather getting colder, ALL I want to do is BAKE!

So, here I am.  Looking to cut down on simple carbs.  Trying to go into the holidays with healthy habits and keeping healthier treats around for me AND my family.

I had been looking, like everyone, on Pinterest and my fellow Beachbody coaches and found a common theme for cutting down on simple carbs and flour - garbanzo beans.

I'm sorry....what did you just say?  You want me to replace flour with beans?   YUCK!

Now, first of all, I love beans but in my dessert?   I don't know about that.

So, I tried the flourless brownies from my Fixate Cookbook.   Winner!

Okay, so maybe this garbanzo bean thing was such a crazy idea!   They were really good!  My kids even liked them!

Then, I searched for other recipes using beans as an alternative for flour and found Chocolate Pumpkin Blondies.  Yes, please!

Here's the finished product and the ONLY bad thing I have to say about them is that it's hard to eat just one!

When using these recipes, though, make sure you DO use the food processor.  I've overheated my Ninja blender twice (whoops!) and a mixer does NOT work.
